Update 3/11/2013. Hey, no sleeping on the job! There?s a bunny beside you! That?s Lucky?s unlucky story. He was tied outside his entire life, about 5 years, in unsatisfactory conditions, not fed properly, and used to hunt. Lucky had no transition problems or adjustments coming into his warm foster home and residing with 4 other resident beagles. Lucky is crate trained and housetrained, and does not bother or chew anything. He is trustworthy when left alone loose inside. Lucky loves to cuddle with you. He is very receptive and friendly to everyone, not afraid of noises or skittish, and will lick you to death. However, because of Lucky?s upbringing, Lucky?s foster mom feels he has not had enough exposure to tolerate small children. A fenced yard also will be beneficial because it may help keep bunnies out - Lucky can react strongly to critters! Like most beagles who are food hounds, Lucky has an ?I can?t get enough to eat appetite? and does a nice ?sit? to receive his meals. (He was terribly skinny at first - probably never knowing when his next meal was coming.) Like all beagles, Lucky enjoys walks. His foster mom uses a halti to prevent him from pulling. Lucky is not an excessive or chronic barker, but only barks when he spots a bunny!
