Approx DOB: October 2008 Hi? I?m Cinda McPurr. I?m told that I look exotic, which isn?t hard to believe because I am definitely a large, African cat trapped in a housecat?s body. I?m sophisticated, regal, and I love intellectual games where I have to think about every move that I make. I?m wickedly fast so one of my favorite games is stalking and taking down my prey (usually my favorite foster roommate, Jack). I also love to hide in my kitty tent or cube? just waiting for one of my unsuspecting foster friends to walk by so I can POUNCE on ?em! But I?m not a high-energy cat, so you?ll also find me gazing out the window as I daydream of living on the African plains, catching a quick cat nap in the sun, or sprawled out on my back in the middle of the room. I LOVE wet food, I LOVE catnip, and I LOVE ?my Jack.? I don?t talk much but I do purr when I?m happy. I enjoy getting attention from people, as long as they aren?t talking cutsie or trying to hold me. After all, have you ever seen anyone throw a lion over their shoulder or cradle a leopard? If possible, I?d really like to be adopted with my foster roommate, Jack McPurr. Jack immediately gets along with everyone, but it takes some time for me to get used to sharing my space with other cats. That reminds me, I should probably tell you that I get real nervous with change and chaos, so the quieter the household, the better. Sometimes it takes me a while to get used to new things, but with some patience and support, it all works out. If you think you might want to adopt a regal, exotic-looking cat with a passion for prey and intelligent interactions, then I might be the right cat for you! When she first arrived, everything made her nervous. But she?s learned how to adjust to new things, as long as I give her a little time to work it out. When she?s comfortable with someone she?s affectionate, but it takes a little while to build her trust. She isn?t a sit-in-your-lap kind of cat, but she really does enjoy being close to the people she loves and receiving affection from them. And, it turns out that she?s an excellent listener, who always seems to quietly show up beside me when I feel sad or need someone to talk to. I don?t think Cinda would be a good choice for an active family or a family with children. But if you?re looking for a quiet, sensitive and low maintenance friend, then Cinda might be the right cat for you. This kitty has had her initial vaccinations, de-worming, flea/tick preventative, has tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and has been micro-chipped and altered.
